Firewood Cutting and Seedling Starting
I've been cutting firewood, hiking stick wood, and preparing the garden, starting cabbage, broccoli, carrots, kale, and lettuce. Also tomatoes indoors. My brother Jezreel has been ordering chickens for meat, he is going to raise them on pasture, and sell them locally. You can see his blog and order his wonderfully scrumptious pastured poultry at: https://jezreelvalleyranch.com/ . I've also been piling up compost and mulch that I get for free from a neighbor down the road that wants to get rid of it. Jezreel has been cleaning out his bedding pack in the goat pen. It's full of carbon and goat manure, what he calls a carbonaceous diaper. This is excellent fertilizer and mulch for the garden. As you can see in one of the pictures below, his goats love to climb around on the piles of it before he shovels it completely out. He raises his mostly Lamancha goats for milk, which you can purchase during the warmer season. You can fill out his order form for pre-ordered pastured poultry at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScDTqgVrZTH3oEaXKy5oP5xuNRYA1K-Xkqo7JoW_HeBqLJveQ/viewform
And don't forget you can come see my collection of sticks and woodcarvings at the Shindig Ozark living Expo in Jasper, Arkansas on the 26th of April. ( Learn more at: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=607500982042410&id=100083475393758&mibextid=wwXIfr&rdid=UnZajkvASBlWOZy0 )
